A group of 18 students, comprising students from Grade 7 to Grade 9, accompanied by two teachers and a tour guide departed from Mumbai on 22nd April 2017 for a 5-day educational tour, subsidised by the school, to Singapore. The tour combined fun and learning experiences in equal measures. During the course of the tour the students visited various places of tourist interest such as the Marine Barrage, Universal Studios, the Night Safari, the ‘Winds of Time’ show, Jurong Bird Park and the Singapore Flyer. Students enjoyed every experience they had at these places. There were some educational activities lined up for the students as well. The visit to the Singapore Science Centre was a truly enriching experience as students took part in varied activities and attended workshops such as DNA Analysis and Liquid Nitrogen workshop. Also, the group visited two international schools namely – the International School of Singapore and the Hwang Cho International School. Students became a part of the school for a day and took part in the classes and activities. All in all the tour proved to be a resounding success in that it not only provided fun and entertainment but also widened the scope of students’ experiences with the educational opportunities it offered.
